James & Raelene Site

In remembrance of Czeslaw Slania, the world's famous stamp engraver, I started this blog In July of 2009, discovering that I already had 20%
of his work in among my own world wide stamps which I had been collecting since 1960. After carefully examining Czeslaw Slania's work and seeing the exquisite beauty and such fine detail in his work, I stop my collecting of world wide stamps and started collecting only his works. However, this has not been a easy task, as I have found out, because of the expense and some dealers not having his work.

Czeslaw Slania used his own method of numbering his stamps in the chronological order that he engraved them. These are Cz #'s that you see on this blog.

It is to my understanding that I have the only blog where you can view his work in the order that each was engraved.

I hope that after viewing my blog it will encourage you to collect Czeslaw Slania's work and use this as a source of information.

Note:
To view 93% of Czeslaw Slania's work click on the stamp photo .
To enlarge each photo for full screen view you must click on it.

Also you have the choice of a slide show as well.

Our site is to try to help those that do not have the time to spend looking and searching for that special stamp at a show or at a dealer.
I have found that even today a lot of dealers  do not know  what stamps Czeslaw Slania engraved. Some  think he only did a small number of stamps, mostly in Sweden.
Dealers in the most  part do not set aside just  Cz. Slania  works. Most dealers do not handle all his works, therefore you may spend hours sitting at different tables and never find what you want.
In order to be fair to a dealer you should already have a want list ready , with Scott numbers, country, and year if possible.
